In 2009 Knauf insulation introduced a significant step-change in mineral wool with the binder technology, ECOSE Technology. It was the result of five years of intensive research and testing. They provide customers with innovative products which also meet the growing market demand for more sustainable construction materials.
As well as the usual benefits from our traditional mineral wool, Earthwool Insulation with ECOSE Technology offers:

Despite the name, Earthwool insulation is not made from wool. It is manufactured from recycled glass bottles, sand, and other similar materials. As you might already know, Earthwool is a specific type of glasswool product. It is now odourless and has a preferred neutral smell over other products made using formaldehyde. Save money while maintaining a comfortable internal temperature right through the year.

It is widely known that buildings account for 40% of worldwide carbon emissions, and increasing their energy efficiency is still a priority for governments as they try to combat climate change. Whilst the primary role of insulation is to provide thermal performance, choosing the right insulation will also determine a building’s acoustic and fire safety properties as well as the level of comfort it provides.
The bigger the temperature difference between the inside and outside of a building, the faster the building will lose heat in winter and gain heat in summer. Earthwool insulation helps maintain a stable inside temperature by slowing heat transfer by convection, conduction and radiation. Check out Insulation Warehouse for more options.
