Glass mineral wool
Our Knauf Earthwool products are flexible glass mineral wool ceiling rolls, manufactured with ECOSE® Technology. The four thicknesses give you different levels of thermal resistance within one material range.

Know what you are comparing

Which insulation products do you sell?
We sell four Knauf Earthwool Ceiling Roll thicknesses: 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and 135mm. All four are glass mineral wool insulation products. Follow the product links above for their individual specifications.
Are all insulation materials the same?
No. Materials and product formats differ, and suitability depends on the application and required performance. Compare declared product data and installation requirements. Our range uses glass mineral wool; we do not stock the other material categories discussed on this page.
Which insulation thickness is best for my home?
There is no single thickness suitable for every project. Start with the required thermal performance and assess any existing insulation. Within our range, 135mm has the highest material R-value at R3.38. An installer should confirm the appropriate specification for your ceiling.
How much insulation do I need?
Measure the area in square metres, divide by your selected product’s coverage per roll and round up to whole rolls. Include an allowance appropriate to the layout and cutting waste. Use our insulation roll calculator to plan quantities.
Can I add insulation to an existing ceiling?
A top-up may be suitable after an installer checks the existing material, condition, coverage and available space. Share these details when requesting a quote so the proposed insulation takes the existing ceiling into account.
